Wig Care

A guide to keeping your Adorned piece in heirloom condition.

01
Daily Care

Your unit doesn’t need much—just a little intentional care.

Each morning, gently finger-comb or brush your hair, working from the ends upward toward the roots to prevent unnecessary pulling and shedding. There’s no need to apply product every day. Use a lightweight leave-in or serum only as needed to refresh moisture, softness, and shine.

For the best longevity, remove your unit before sleeping and store it properly. If you choose to sleep in your wig, protect the hair with a silk or satin bonnet or scarf and sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to minimize friction, tangling, and dryness.

Treat your wig the way you’ve learned to treat yourself—gently, intentionally, and with care.

02
Washing Guide

Co-wash your unit every 7–10 wears, or as needed based on product buildup and wear. Before washing, gently detangle from ends to roots using a detangling brush or wide-tooth comb.

Wash in lukewarm water with a sulfate-free cleanser, then apply conditioner from the mid-shaft to the ends, avoiding the lace and knots. Allow the conditioner to sit for about 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Gently pat—never rub—the hair with a microfiber towel to remove excess water, then place your unit on a mannequin stand and allow it to air dry.

If using a blow dryer or other hot tools, always apply a heat protectant first and keep heat at a moderate temperature to help preserve the hair’s softness, shine, and longevity.

03
Storage Guide

Always return your wig to its wig bag and or place on a mannequin stand. A well-stored Adorned wig holds its shape and shine for 18+ months.

Styling Tips

Heat-friendly up to 400°F. Use a heat protectant before flat irons or curling wands. Refresh waves with cool water and braid overnight. For longevity: less heat, more love.
